Swatara Township will be handing out treats at the Swatara Middle School on Friday, April 3rd from 8 am until Noon. This is in conjunction with the Central Dauphin School District's Grab & Go Breakfast/Lunch Distribution Program. This is a continuation of the curbside service of this program. Parents/Guardians can drive thru or walk up to pick up the 6 meals (3 breakfasts and 3 lunches to cover students over the weekend) provided by CDSD, as well as their special treat from Swatara Township. Swatara Township will not have an Easter Egg Hunt in 2020. This new option will not create any additional trips outside of your home. We appreciate CDSD for allowing Swatara Township to combine this activity with their existing meal distribution program. This is for any child/adult 18 years old or younger with residency within the Central Dauphin School District boundaries. Swatara Township Public Safety Director Darrell Reider, Swatara Township Commissioner Shaela Ellis and other first responders will be in attendance to greet the children. Please note there is no eating onsite and social distancing will be in effect. There is no reason to exit your vehicle since all food will be brought to each driver. There will be a One Way Traffic Pattern in effect, which requires motorists to enter the Swatara Middle School's parking lot off of Hanshue Street and then follow the flow of traffic to the pick up area. On behalf of Swatara Township, stay safe and stay healthy!
