On Wednesday July 8th, The Swatara Twp Board of Commissioners made a $5,000.00 donation to the Capital Area Greenbelt. In the picture Swatara Twp Commissioner Richard Bouder can be seen giving Greenbelt Board Member Cynthia Hogeman the check. Also present for the presentation were Board President Tom Connolly and Commissioners Ellis, Varner and Zubeck. Funds will be used to improve the gardens, complete maintenance projects and to provide specialized Police Community Outreach details along the Swatara/Paxtang areas of the Greenbelt.

The amount of pedestrians and bicyclists using the Greenbelt has significantly increased during the COVID-19 crisis.

Swatara Township Police have additional patrols scheduled for this summer to help provide safety and security to everyone enjoying the trail.
