Come join the Swatara Police for a float on the Swatara Creek. This event is being held on Saturday, August 21st between 10am and 12pm at Schiavoni Park in Swatara Township. Participants can drop into the creek anytime between 10am and 1045am and take a 30-45 minute float with some of our police officers! The drop in point is at Schiavoni Park and the exit point is downstream at McNaughton Park. After participants exit the creek we encourage them to join our Director of Public Safety, Darrell Reider, for a meet and greet while at the same time enjoying some hot dogs and hamburgers. This is a great way to end the summer with your family, build a positive relationship with police officers from our department, and enjoy some good food at the same time! Participants are required to bring all flotation equipment that they deem necessary such as tubes, life jackets, swimmies etc. The event is open to all residents and non-residents and no registration is required. Overflow parking will be provided for this event at Schiavoni Park.  We hope to see you there!
