On February 3rd, 2025 the Lower Paxton Bureau of Police were dispatched to Dicks Sporting Goods for a report of a retail theft in progress. While LPBP Officers were en route to the store, employees advised the suspects had left in a vehicle, heading west on Jonestown Rd. LPBP Officers were able to locate and conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle where the suspects were identified as Lamont Davis, of Glenolden PA, and Kenneth Martin, of Philadelphia PA. Located inside of the vehicle was a tool used to defeat anti-theft devices, over $4000 worth of stolen merchandise from Dicks Sporting Goods as well as numerous other stolen merchandise from other retail stores.
Kenneth Martin were placed under arrest and transported to the Dauphin County Booking Center where he was charged with Organized Retail Theft - Felony 3, Retail theft- Felony 3, Conspiracy to Commit Retail Theft - Felony 3, and Instruments of a Crime - Misdemeanor 1. Martin was arraigned by MDJ Wenner, who denied bail.
