On April 21, 2025, the Lower Paxton Bureau of Police were dispatched to the Rite Aid - 4900 block Jonestown Rd, for a report of a male attempting to pass a fraudulent prescription.  Upon Officers arrival, they located the male in the rear of the store, by the Pharmacy.  The male, who was later identified as Adam D Seyum - of Arlington Virginia, immediately attempted to run by Officers upon seeing their presence.  Seyum began to resist and fight Officers, who attempted to take him into custody.  Seyum was eventually subdued and apprehended after being tased and was transported to a local hospital for medical clearance.   An LPBP Officer, who was injured from the altercation, was treated at a local hospital as well and was later released.

Seyum was transported to the Dauphin County Booking Center where he was charged with (1) count Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer (Felony 2), (1) count Forgery (Misdemeanor 1), (1) count Resisting Arrest (Misdemeanor 2) and (1) count Acquiring a Controlled Substance by Fraudulent Means (Misdemeanor).

Seyum was later arraigned by MDJ Pianka who set bail at $25,000.00.  Seyum posted bail and was released from custody.
